The Study

Bred to locate and point gamebirds over the Irish bogs, the Irish Setter is as much showman as sportsman. Its flowing chestnut coat and rollicking gait turn heads wherever it goes. Beneath the glamour lies a genuine working dog with boundless stamina and a sweet, sometimes mischievous disposition. Setters adore people and other dogs, and their joyful approach to life makes them delightful — if occasionally exhausting — companions.

Care & Keeping

Needs long daily runs and mental engagement; a bored Setter invents its own entertainment. The silky coat requires brushing several times a week to prevent feathering tangles.
